Since I originally bought this for winter outfits, I opted for the rich forest green shade that made the dress a standout. I was excited to find the pop of color looks just as cute in the summer — I paired it with a clutch, kitten heels, and a wrap for an elegant date-night look, but it looks just as classy with low-profile sneakers and a denim jacket. It is lightweight and doesn’t show sweat stains, which has been particularly helpful with the season’s sweltering temperatures. 

I wear a size 16/18 and am 5-foot-3, which can make finding clothing that fits well and hits at the right length a challenge. I wore this in a size 1X straight out of the package, with no alterations required, thanks to its midi-length hem. As much as I like to look fashionable, I won’t wear anything that feels restrictive, which may be my favorite thing about this piece — seriously, it feels like wearing pajamas. The silk is soft against the skin and is easy to care for since it’s machine-washable and can be dried on a low setting. While the delicate fabric does wrinkle, creases come out easily with a low-heat iron — just be sure to turn the dress inside out first.
