Sophia Stel has released new single ‘Now I’ve Got A Lot You Know’, continuing a year in which the Vancouver artist seems to have been everywhere from Los Angeles stages to Paris runways.

Written and produced by Stel, the new track arrives with a self-edited video that keeps things considerably closer to home. Featuring her two younger brothers, with whom she shares an apartment in Vancouver, the clip pulls together footage from the past six months of her life, including touring internationally and opening for Lorde at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles in May.

There’s an appealing contrast between that rapidly expanding world and the homemade nature of the video. Stel has always made the everyday part of her work, and ‘Now I’ve Got A Lot You Know’ feels less interested in polishing the past six months into a glossy highlight reel than capturing what it has actually been like to live through them.

The single is Stel’s third release through A24 Music, following June’s ‘Molly In The Club’ and April’s ‘Bitches Talk Shit’, the latter attracting praise from Pitchfork and the attention of Robyn. It continues a run that has seen Stel’s profile grow at a rate that must occasionally make those six months documented in the video feel considerably longer.

Australia gets its first proper look at Stel this December when she heads to Meredith Music Festival, joining a lineup that includes Dijon, underscores, Fcukers and The Dandy Warhols at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre.

It’s another sizeable step for an artist who emerged from Vancouver’s DIY scene. Stel recorded and produced her How to Win At Solitaire EP in a makeshift basement studio at the now-closed Paradise club, where she was working at the time. Its deluxe edition brought collaborations with Mura Masa, Tommy Genesis and Cecile Believe, while ‘I’ll Take It’ subsequently found its own life on TikTok and earned an endorsement from Troye Sivan.

Music and fashion have increasingly begun bleeding into one another around Stel. She has made her runway debut for Ann Demeulemeester at Paris Fashion Week, appeared on the covers of NME and The Face and featured in campaigns and shoots for Palace Skateboards and BASKETCASE. She was also selected for the 2026 DAZED 100 and Pigeons & Planes’ 26 Artists To Watch In 2026.

For all of that activity, ‘Now I’ve Got A Lot You Know’ brings things back to Stel herself: self-written, self-produced and accompanied by a video she cut together from her own life. With a debut album now in the works and Meredith waiting in December, that life is getting busier by the month.
