On Sunday, Aug. 16, Kroy Biermann, Zolciak’s ex-husband, and Jillian Green, Mowitz’s ex-wife, were spotted kissing after a hike in Alpharetta, Ga. The next day, Zolciak, 48, and Mowitz were spotted out together and were asked how they feel about their exes dating.

“I don’t care. We don’t care. I’m just very worried about his little girls,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star replied in a Monday, Aug. 17, video published by TMZ.

When asked if he thinks the two are dating out of spite, Mowitz said, “I don’t think they’re doing it out of spite.”

“I mean, I’ve provided for Kroy for 10 years, so I’m sure he just wants another [provider],” Zolciak said.

PEOPLE reached out to representatives of Biermann for comment.

Zolciak and Biermann, 40, first split in May 2023, after 12 years of marriage. After calling off their divorce that July, Biermann filed for divorce again a month later. Since then, the couple has been engaged in tumultuous divorce proceedings. 

More recently, the reality star filed a motion for an emergency hearing in June and alleged Biermann was not properly caring for their children while they are in his custody. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Zolciak claimed that without the court’s immediate intervention, the minor children are “at risk of ongoing mental and physical abuse” by her former partner.

Her motion came after a judge granted the former professional football player primary physical custody of their four kids — Kroy Jr., 14, Kash, 13, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12 — after he alleged that Zolciak was “unstable and unfit.” Zolciak and Biermann will continue to share joint legal custody of the children.

Back in November 2025, Zolciak told Entertainment Tonight while at BravoCon that the “final straw” in their marriage was his alleged infidelity. During a panel, where she appeared alongside stars Brittany Cartwright, Denise Richards and Luann de Lesseps, Zolciak opened up about her new boyfriend, who PEOPLE confirmed she’s been seeing since March. 

They connected, she said, because they’re “both going through divorces for the exact same reason.” She added, “We bonded over horrible circumstances.”

In the Aug. 17 video, Zolciak said Mowitz is the “funniest person I know.”

“That’s my favorite thing [about him],” she noted. “He loves my kids so much, and my kids love him, and I think that’s super important.” 

“He’s just my best friend,” she added. “We’ve been through a lot together. It’s only up from here, though.”
