  • Stewart recently told PEOPLE about her healthy lifestyle habits and revealed she’s never had plastic surgery, focusing on maintenance instead

Martha Stewart is always serving something. And this week it’s a killer new hairstyle.

The lifestyle mogul, 85, debuted a new ‘do on her Instagram with two mirror selfies at the Julien Farel salon in the Regency Hotel, where she thanked longtime colorist Parvin Klein and hairstylist Julien Farel for refreshing her look.

“Yesterday my lovely @parvinklein colored my hair as she has done for more than thirty years and Julien, even though he is in very high demand, offered to blow dry my newly refreshed locks. We had a great conversation,” she captioned her post on Thursday, Sept. 4.

“Mostly about tennis-we are both fans,” she adds. “Parvin popped back for a photo – thanks so much for making me look so good!!!”

Stewart’s latest hair transformation stayed true to her signature blonde bob, but with a glamorous twist. She gave the classic cut a boost of volume, styling her blonde locks with soft, subtle curls that added movement and bounce to her iconic look.

Her outfit was understated, letting the hair shine. She wore a long-sleeve black top and accessorized with small, dangling earrings and a few rings on her fingers.

The hair switch-up comes one month after Stewart invited PEOPLE exclusively to her New York farm, where she reflected on all she’s created — and what’s still left on her never-ending to-do list.

For a quick — extremely brief — recap, she’s authored 102 cookbooks, opened restaurants in Las Vegas and Connecticut, has a gin company, a skincare line and many brand partnerships (and that’s in addition to her massive lifestyle media empire).

On her stunning 156-acre Bedford, N.Y. farm — where she recently posed for the cover of PEOPLE — it’s easy to assume she already has it all. “No, I don’t. I didn’t have an app for my home, and so I’m making one,” she said. (It’s home intelligence app Hint.)

Money is not what motivates her to stay so busy, however. “My goal is to keep learning about everything,” she said.

Stewart also shared with PEOPLE her views on plastic surgery at this stage of her life, and what she does to stay healthy.

“Eighty-five is just a number,” Stewart said. “I have good genes. My mom looked great at 95,” she admitted. “We eat well. We don’t drink very much. We don’t smoke. We eat healthy food. We exercise daily.”

For cosmetic procedures, she sees Dr. Dan Belkin in New York City. “He is a very superb dermatologist,” she says. “And I use a little bit of fillers. I go maybe once every four months for touch-ups.”

Despite what people think, “I have not had any plastic surgery at all,” she says. “I don’t think I need it. I do facial exercises and have the best facials from Mario Badescu and Georgia Louise. Peptides are very good. I take a few peptides.”

“So that’s what I do. I’m more a maintenance kind of person. I’m not getting boobs done and hips and butts and stuff like that,” she adds with a laugh.
