Bastille are heading back to Australia in 2027, with the British band set to revisit more than a decade of music on a tour drawing from across their catalogue.

It has been a long road from ‘Bad Blood’, the 2013 debut that turned Bastille from newcomers into one of Britain’s biggest international breakthroughs. The album reached No. 1 in the UK and became the biggest-selling digital album of that year, driven by ‘Pompeii’, the song that remains inseparable from the band’s rise.

That early success moved quickly. Bastille picked up British Breakthrough Act at the 2014 BRIT Awards and went on to receive two Grammy nominations, while ‘Bad Blood’ eventually reached triple platinum status and passed one million sales in the UK. Rather than being trapped by the enormous success of their debut, the band continued building a catalogue that has now produced three UK No. 1 albums and six UK Top 40 singles.

The 2027 Australian shows will look back across that history rather than concentrating on a single album or era. Fan favourites will sit alongside rarities and songs that have become fixtures of Bastille’s live shows, giving the tour the feel of a career-spanning retrospective rather than an anniversary run.

More than a decade after ‘Pompeii’ first went stratospheric, the numbers surrounding Bastille remain formidable. They have sold more than 13 million records worldwide and accumulated more than two billion video views, while continuing to draw an audience far beyond the breakthrough years of ‘Bad Blood’.
