Max McNown is heading back Down Under in February 2027, announcing his biggest Australian and New Zealand headline tour yet as he prepares to release third album ‘Leave On A Light’.

The Nashville-based singer-songwriter has moved quickly since breaking through with ‘A Lot More Free’. He now has more than 900 million streams to his name, while ‘Better Me For You (Brown Eyes)’ has passed 500 million streams and reached No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also the most-played song on Australian country radio in 2025.

His new 17-track album ‘Leave On A Light’ arrives September 25, recorded at Nashville’s Blackbird Studio with longtime producer Jamie Kenney. Recent singles ‘First Born Daughter’, ‘Comets’ and Kygo collaboration ‘Take Me Back’ point towards a broader sound while keeping McNown’s direct, lyric-driven songwriting at the centre.

The 2027 tour starts in Perth on February 2 before hitting Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Cairns. McNown then crosses the Tasman for shows in Auckland and Christchurch, wrapping up the run on February 24.

Tickets go on sale at 12pm local time on September 18, following artist and Live Nation presales. After previously selling out his Australian tour, the move into rooms including Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and Melbourne’s Festival Hall makes this a sizeable step up.
