The co-hosts of the Today show went back in time on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The NBC morning show took a trip down memory lane while covering the resurgence of ‘90s fashion. Producers shared side-by-side throwback images of the anchors in the ‘90s, including images of Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Dylan Dreyer and Al Roker.

“I like the chunky loafer heel,” Guthrie, 54, said of her favorite ‘90s fashion trend before a throwback image of the journalist popped up on the screen.

She matched her pose, tilting her head to the side. And the rest of the team also got the throwback treatment with meteorologist Dreyer, 45, showing off her brunette hair and bangs, complete with a grunge-inspired look.

“I like the corduroy and flannel look. I was a little grunge,” she explained. “I like the ‘90s grunge. I think that shirt was from Limited Too.”

And despite Melvin claiming he was not “very fashionable” back in the day, his image featured the suave journalist giving the camera a sly look in a three-piece suit.

“Whoa! Mr. GQ,” Roker quipped.

“That look was from the eighth-grade dance, or, I don’t know,” Melvin, 47, said of the look.

“I think you were quite fashionable! And that look is always in fashion,” Guthrie said of Melvin’s pose, which Dreyer compared to Zoolander‘s “Blue Steel.”

While the rest of the anchors focused on their fashion, Roker noted that his biggest change since the ‘90s has been his size.

“My fashion was fat,” he said with a laugh. “It was me and the Michelin Man.”

He later joked about his style on the 3rd Hour of Today, saying it was “anything I could fit into.”

The famed weatherman, 72, underwent gastric bypass surgery in 2002 and has been open about his struggles with his health and weight through the years.

Roker has been on the Today show for more than 30 years now, starting on the show in 1996. Back in January, he reflected on his career and legacy with PEOPLE, getting candid about his retirement plans or lack thereof.

“I love what I do,” he said. “I feel good. I love this job. I love doing it. At some point I guess I won’t be, but I don’t feel like that’s anytime soon, so I’m just gonna keep going.”
