The list of 2026 MTV VMAs performers is growing.

On Thursday, Sept. 17, MTV announced Lisa, RAYE, Sienna Spiro, Shaboozey, GENER8ION, Gunna and Yung Lean will take the stage for performances at this year’s Video Music Awards later this month.

Lisa, 29, will perform her new single “SaWaDiKa” from her upcoming PRESS PLAY EP, which comes out on Friday, Oct. 23, for the first time live on TV. RAYE, 28, will make her VMAs performance debut at the ceremony, as will Spiro.

Shaboozey, 31, will also make his VMAs performance debut alongside Gunna, 33, with their new hit collaboration “Cowgirl.” GENER8ION and Yung Lean, 33, will both take the stage at the awards show for the first time with the world premiere performance of their song “STORM II.”

All seven newly announced performers are also nominated at the 2026 MTV VMAs.

Earlier this week, MTV announced Madonna will open this year’s VMAs with her first performance on the show in 23 years. The Queen of Pop, 68, led this year’s nominations with nods in 11 categories, including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year for Confessions II – The Film, and Song of the Year for “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter.

Other top nominees include Taylor Swift with nine nods, followed by Ariana Grande and Carpenter with seven nominations each. Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson earned five nominations, while Lisa earned four. Shakira and Tate McRae each earned three.

Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the 2026 VMAs will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. ET (4:30 to 6:30 p.m. PT) on CBS, with a simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. The show will be available globally on Paramount+ and MTV the following day.
