All Things Go returns to New York’s Forest Hills Stadium from September 25 to 27, bringing another three days of pop, indie and alternative music to Queens.
Since launching in 2011, the independent festival has built its identity around lineups that put established names alongside emerging artists. Its New York edition continues that approach, with Carly Rae Jepsen, MUNA and The Beaches among the artists taking the stage this year.
There’s also one name arriving at Forest Hills by a rather different route. Cuban sister trio Las Hermanas Machado have won the US Regional Finals of TikTok LIVE’s Music on Stage competition, earning themselves a spot at All Things Go on Sunday, September 27.
Cesia, Keren and Jemimah Machado built their audience through TikTok LIVE after leaving Cuba, drawing on their Cuban roots, faith and sisterhood in their music. Their win takes that audience out of the phone and puts the trio in front of a festival crowd, opening Sunday’s programme before a lineup that includes Carly Rae Jepsen, MUNA and The Beaches.
It fits neatly with what All Things Go has been doing for 15 years. The festival has previously hosted artists including Billie Eilish, boygenius, Lana Del Rey, Maggie Rogers, Reneé Rapp, Hozier, Lorde, Laufey, Mitski, HAIM, Janelle Monáe, Charli XCX, Bleachers, Tove Lo, Doechii, Clairo, Djo and Lucy Dacus. For Las Hermanas Machado, September 27 offers the chance to add their name to that story.
