A police officer pointed their taser in WNBA star Paige Bueckers‘s face as teammate Arike Ogunbowale was arrested on allegations of punching a man earlier this year, according to newly-released bodycam footage.

Police officers arrested Ogunbowale, 29, in Miami in the early hours of March 5 after she allegedly punched a man at Club E11EVEN, charges she was cleared of two months later. Now, newly-released bodycam footage gives insight into the arrest, which occurred as the Unrivaled teammates celebrated their championship in Miami, PEOPLE previously confirmed.

Miami Police Department bodycam footage of the arrest obtained by The California Post and shared Tuesday, Sept. 22 shows Bueckers, 24, with her arm wrapped around Dallas Wings teammate Ogunbowale’s shoulders as police placed her under arrest amid a crowd of basketball players.

At one point, a cop pointed their taser directly at Bueckers and ordered her to let Ogunbowale go.

“We got her,” Bueckers repeatedly told police in the footage, which is time-stamped at 4:16 a.m. local time.

“Let her go,” the police officer then told Bueckers and pointed the taser in her face. He then lowered the weapon and said, “You’re gonna… I’m gonna… I will!”

At this point, the body camera turns away from Bueckers. By the time the camera pans back, she is no longer wrapping her arm around Ogunbowale, who is then handcuffed and taken to a police vehicle.

The Miami Police Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Wednesday, Sept. 23. PEOPLE has also reached out to a rep for Bueckers for comment.

According to a police incident report, Club E11EVEN said Ogunbowale and her friends were being ushered to an exit following an altercation inside the venue when the Wings guard allegedly suddenly punched a security staffer at the venue “in the face with a closed fist,” the Post reported.

Ogunbowale was charged with misdemeanor battery and released after posting a $1,000 bond, USA Today previously reported. Two months later, she was cleared of the charge.

The charge against Ogunbowale was dismissed after a court hearing in May. The Wings star’s attorney, Mitch Schuster, addressed the dismissal in a statement to ESPN’s Alexa Phillipou at the time.

“We are pleased that the State Attorney’s Office has exercised its discretion and elected not to move forward with this matter,” Schuster said. “Ms. Ogunbowale is a person of outstanding character, and we are excited that these charges have been dismissed so she can resume her focus on her professional career.”

Ogunbowale was drafted in 2019 by the Wings and went on to become a four-time WNBA All-Star in the years since. She also plays for Mist in the Unrivaled basketball league during the WNBA offseason, where she won the league’s 2026 championship.

The Wings star signed a multi-year seven-figure deal to stay with the WNBA team in April.
