Sophie Cunningham is trying to make a “point” in her latest TikTok.
The Indiana Fever player — whose in-game finger-pointing went viral earlier this season — could not resist pointing out the popularity of the gesture, in the wake of an incident involving Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson and a fan’s index finger at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
“Not trying to be dramatic at all, like seriously,” Cunningham, 30, said in her video, while grinning. “I was just here having my morning coffee and what a damn comeback year for the ‘point.’ Who would have ever thought? Just who would have ever thought?”

The chaos started after Wilson, 30, collided with Cunningham in the fourth quarter.
As the former Missouri player lay sprawled on the floor, Wilson got the foul call — which resulted in the man standing near his courtside seat pointing at the WNBA star.

In a video from the incident, the man seemed to point at Wilson and say: “That’s on you.”
Uncharacteristically, Wilson approached the male fan and yelled in his direction. As the Fever crowd booed, and her teammates held her back, the Aces player pointed her finger in the man’s direction as if to help refs identify him.
Wilson gained a tech while the man and a woman he was with were briefly escorted from their seats before security allowed them to return, according to a statement from the Fever shared with PEOPLE.
Earlier this season, Cunningham — whose signature on-court move dates back to her days at Mizzou — drew attention for pointing at Phoenix Mercury star DeWanna Bonner, after Bonner became embroiled in a dust-up with Fever star Caitlin Clark.
During the game in June, Cunningham aimed her finger at the Mercury player and held it there for approximately 22 seconds while maintaining direct eye contact.
“I was just kind of pointing, and [Bonner] was like, ‘Don’t you point at me!’ And I was like, ‘Oh, shouldn’t have said that,’ ” Cunningham later recalled on her podcast. “And I didn’t say a word.”
