Three headliners, one packed room and an audience that seemed to know every word. Amelie Farren, Lilith Max and Rabbitology brought their triple-headlining tour to Off Broadway in St Louis on October 2, and there was little sense that any one artist was playing second fiddle.

The connection between the three acts was a big part of what made the night work. Rather than feeling like three separate sets stitched together, Farren, Max and Rabbitology played off each other and kept the energy moving throughout the show, with plenty of crowd interaction along the way.

That connection extended straight into the audience. Dedicated fans arrived dressed as the artists themselves, while song after song turned into a room-wide singalong. With Off Broadway packed, the barrier between stage and crowd felt particularly thin.

Triple-headlining tours can be tricky things, but here the format made perfect sense. Three artists with their own identities, a shared audience and the kind of chemistry that made the whole night feel bigger than three individual performances.
