Bruce Springsteen’s family is growing!
The “Secret Garden” singer’s daughter, Jessica Springsteen, and her partner, Nicola Philippaerts, announced they are expecting their first baby together in a joint Instagram post on Saturday, Oct. 10.
In the post, Jessica, 34, and Nicola, 33, both professional equestrians, shared a carousel of photos from what appeared to be a Mediterranean vacation. Nicola could be seen cradling Jessica’s baby bump in a number of the images.
“New adventures🥰❤️,” they captioned the post.
A representative for Jessica declined PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Bruce, 77, shares Jessica, along with her brothers, Evan, 36, and Samuel, 32, with his wife and longtime bandmate, Patti Scialfa.
The new addition will mark the second grandchild in the Springsteen clan: Sam welcomed a daughter named Lily in 2022.
Jessica and Nicola have been linked since 2024, according to Us Weekly.
Nicola is a rider from Belgium. He had a successful junior and young rider career, including European and Youth Olympic victories, before establishing himself at the senior level, according to his bio on GCC Global Champions.
Jessica is also an accomplished equestrian.
She took home the silver medal in team jumping at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo (held in 2021 due to COVID). She has also won major international competitions, including events on the Global Champions Tour, according to her Team USA bio.
Her proud dad publicly congratulated her on her Olympic silver medal during the Aug. 18 broadcast of his From My Home to Yours show on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio, the Asbury Park Press reported.

“I want to congratulate the United States Olympic show jumping team — that’s McLain Ward, Laura Kraut and my lovely daughter, Jessica Springsteen — on their silver medal win at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics,” he said at the time, per the outlet.

Jessica’s mother, 73, had previously congratulated Jessica on social media.
“BRINGING HOME THE SILVER—🐴 Congratulations to the USA 2020 Equestrian Jumping Team!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 What a day…what a ride…” Patti wrote on Instagram.
Representatives for Bruce did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
