Nelly and Ashanti worked through a small “Dilemma” on their way to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s New York City wedding.
The couple was among the hundreds of guests at Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding, and chronicled their time spent getting ready for the fête on the upcoming second season of their Peacock series Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together.
In a new trailer for the season that dropped on Thursday, Oct. 15, Nelly, 51, and Ashanti, 46, excitedly discuss their plans to attend the wedding at Madison Square Garden.
“We got invited to Taylor and Travis’s wedding. Nelly is a Swiftie,” Nelly says in the trailer.

But on the way, the two are seen bickering as Ashanti realizes her husband forgot something.
“F— babe, you didn’t put the lotion in here?” she asks as she sits in the car in a form-fitting silver gown. In response, Nelly expresses his disappointment with her use of the F-word, to which she says, “That’s okay.”
“No it’s not,” he responds.
Despite the tense moment, the trailer for the second season also shows plenty of loved-up moments between the pair, who married in 2023 and are parents to son Kareem, 2.
Fat Joe, Ja Rule and Jadakiss all pop up in cameos, and Ashanti is also seen in the studio re-recording her masters and discussing why she doesn’t feel ready to share Kareem’s face on social media.
“It’s been an amazing journey. I have my husband, my baby, our family. We’re doing what we love, we’re traveling. I’m actually living my fairytale,” she says in the clip, to which Nelly responds, “Whatever I could do to make you happy will get done. Shall be done.”

The fact that Nelly and Ashanti scored an invite to the most high-profile wedding of the year is no surprise to fans who know that Nelly has collaborated with Swift a number of times. The rapper appeared as a special guest on three of Swift’s tours, and they’ve duetted on songs like “Just a Dream” and “Dilemma.”
He told Rolling Stone in 2015 that they met through a mutual friend, and that he considered Swift “like a little sister.”
“I’ve been knowing her ever since she’s been on. She calls me whenever, it don’t matter, I’ll knock it out for her,” he said. “It’s a cool relationship. Before it’s all said and done, man, she could possibly be top five females of all time. As a matter of fact, I know she will.”
Ashanti, meanwhile, credited the pop star with inspiring her to re-record her own masters.
“I’ve always had the idea to go back in and re-record and gain the masters,” she told Metro UK in 2022. “I think Taylor is amazing for what she’s done and to be able to be a female in this very male-dominated industry, to accomplish that is amazing. More of us have to continue that narrative of women empowerment.”
Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together season two is streaming starting Nov. 19.
