Four people died and 15 others were injured after three shootings unfolded in the span of under two hours on Halloween night, all in the same Dallas neighborhood.

Dallas police said in a press release that officers received a call about the first shooting on the 2600 block of Elm Street in the city’s Deep Ellum neighborhood at 12:20 a.m. local time on Sunday, Nov. 1.

According to CBS News Texas, that shooting broke out at a convenience store, and five people were shot in the shop’s parking lot in the altercation.

Less than an hour later, another shooting unfolded at 1:05 a.m. on Main Street, leaving three people dead, per the outlet, and half an hour later, yet another shooting occurred on the city’s South Crowdus Street, where one person died.

In total, four people were pronounced dead during the shootings, and several of the injured people were transported to local hospitals. No suspects have been identified, according to police.

WFAA reported, citing DPD sources, that during one of the shootings, a man allegedly said, “Hey, I’m gonna start shooting.”

During a press conference held later in the morning, Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said that several police officers were two blocks away from the initial shooting and were able to successfully perform lifesaving measures on one person at the scene.

Although the suspects have not been identified, police said that witnesses and other individuals have been arrested as part of the investigation.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families following the tragic overnight shootings in Deep Ellum,” Dallas City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert said in a statement on Sunday morning. “Dallas Police officers were on the ground and able to respond immediately. Dallas Police will continue to investigate this incident and work to bring those responsible to justice. We will share additional information as it becomes available.”

During Sunday’s press conference, Chief Comeaux shared that investigators are planning to conduct door-to-door canvasses of local businesses to collect surveillance video and review footage of the three incidents.

“This is completely unacceptable for it to take place in Dallas, and we’re going to do everything that we need to do to get everyone in custody who’s responsible for this,” Comeaux said.

Police have also asked anyone with photos, videos or social media clips related to the three shootings to contact Sgt. Boz Rojas at (214) 671-3598 or at boz.rojas@dallaspolice.gov.
