80 min: Graham Hansen sends a cross into the box. It takes a deflection before falling out to Reiten, who attempts an audacious overhead kick, forcing a save from Koivunen. Norway’s best chance of this half by far.
78 min: A cross is sent over to Graham Hansen on the right side of the box. She looks to make her way past Tynnilä but the Finland defender can make the block.
76 min: Norway have a free kick in the defensive third following a foul on Reiten from Summanen.
73 min: Another two changes for Finland as Koivisto is replaced by Nea Lehtola and Sällström makes way for Jutta Rantala.
71 min: Norway have a corner and Lund steps up to take it. She fires the ball into the box and Koivunen does well to come off her line and punch away.
68 min: Finland completely rip the Norway defence apart with a few passes before the ball is played through to Sällström in the box. The forward turns and shoots, but blasts her effort wide! A huge opportunity missed.
64 min: Finland break forward again as Sällström is sent down the right in acres of space. She makes the cross, but two white shirts narrowly miss the final finish!
63 min: Huge chance for Finland! Summanen receives the ball from Koivisto just outside the box. The Tottenham star goes for goal, directing her shot towards the bottom-left corner, but Fiskerstrand makes a brilliant save!
62 min: Finland make a change as Öling is replaced by Sanni Franssi.
61 min: Koivisto makes her way down the right before crossing the ball into the box. Engen is there to make the block before a team-mate can clear the danger.
60 min: Half an hour of normal time to play and Marko Saloranta looks to be preparing his first substitution.
57 min: Kosola receives the ball and drifts inside, making her way to the edge of the penalty area before going for goal. Her effort is on target and forces a strong save from Fiskerstrand.
53 min: Engen plays a long pass over the Finland defence and through to Gaupset, who looks to bring it down before squaring the ball across goal. However, none of her team-mates are there to meet the cross.
51 min: Norway have a corner and the ball is sent straight into the six-yard box. Engen is there, marking Koivunen, but she gives away a foul on the goalkeeper.
50 min: Norway look to creep into the box from the right but the final pass in is cut out and Finland can make the clearance.
47 min: Hegerberg looks to play a one-two with Gaupset on the edge of the box, but the final ball is intercepted and cleared away.
46 min: Norway made two changes at the break, with Signe Gaupset replacing Maanum and Lisa Naalsund on for Bøe Risa.

“Very much looking forward to this one; Norway navigating this apparent mental block after a thoroughly unconvincing win over the Swiss will be fascinating to see. I don’t really give Finland a prayer…but just imagine if they take the lead.
“Do you know what happened with Norway’s numbers? I don’t understand how such an illegible font got onto those otherwise lovely kits!”

HALF-TIME: Norway 1-1 Finland

45+1: Just the one minute added on.
45 min: Finland are running rings around Norway in that final third…
43 min: The ball is played to Öling, who makes a run into the box while picking up possession. She goes for goal but drags her shot wide.
41 min: Norway do not look like they are playing for a place in the quarter-finals. Everything just seems sloppy. Finland appear to be putting in more effort across the pitch. This isn’t good enough from Gemma Grainger’s team.
39 min: Sevenius carries the ball forward through the middle before cutting onto her right and going for goal, but her effort is off-target.
36 min: If any team looks as though they will take the lead in this match, it’s Finland. Norway have just been so disjointed, especially in midfield and defence.
33 min: Another misplaced pass from the Norway midfield results in a turnaround of possession and Finland can play forward. Siren sends a pass through to Sevenius on the edge of the box, who fires her shot into the top-right corner with her left foot!

28 min: Graham Hansen goes for a shot from around 25 yards out. It deflects off Nyström and falls perfectly to Hegerberg, but Koivunen makes a stunning save to keep it at 1-0!
28 min: Graham Hansen makes her way into the box from the right before attempting a powerful low-driven shot, forcing a great save from Koivunen.
25 min: Norway have a corner. The ball is crossed into the box and creeps towards goal, forcing Koivunen to make a fingertip save onto the post!
24 min: Graham Hansen plays a short ball to Bøe Risa on the right following a corner, who sends a cross into the box. Engen gets her head to it but rattles the post with her effort!
22 min: The ball is played out to Tynnilä on the right, who looks to play a cross but instead forces Fiskerstrand off her line to make the save. The goalkeeper parries the ball out and Norway can clear. Finland are coming close to an equaliser.
20 min: Finland have looked the better team on the ball in the last 10 minutes or so. Norway are struggling to string passes together in midfield.
17 min: The corner is taken and Sevenius goes for goal but misses the target.
16 min: A long ball is switched over to Sällström by Nyström. The striker brings it down before quickly releasing a shot, but it is brilliantly saved by Fiskerstrand and Finland have a corner.
14 min: O.Siren pulls the trigger on a long ball over to Kosola, who looks to make a run in behind the Norway defence, but the flag is up.
12 min: Koivisto plays a pass inside to Summanen around 25 yards out from goal. The Tottenham star looks to tee herself up for the shot but instead hesitates and goes for the pass. Norway can eventually clear.
9 min: Despite being one goal up, Norway have struggled so far when passing through the midfield. They just can’t seem to progress through the thirds effectively right now.
7 min: That was the perfect start for Norway. One chance, one goal. Finland find themselves on the back foot already.

The goal has been marked down as an Eva Nyström own-goal.
4 min: The ball is switched over to Graham Hansen on the right, who eases past her marker before making a driving run into the box. She then squares it across goal to Maanum, but Nyström deflects it into her own net while attempting to intercept.

Both teams will now take part in a moment of silence before kick-off to pay tribute to Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, who both died in a tragic car accident on Thursday.

Norway head coach Gemma Grainger tells BBC Sport: “It’s nice to be back here in Sion. Really looking forward to the second game. The key today is to focus on this game – it is not helpful to think ahead on what can happen. We are very focused on how we can be at our best today.
“We have been here before so it felt familiar. We stayed at the same hotel so we have had a nice preparation into the game.”
Finland midfielder Eveliina Summanen on today’s game: “Since the Iceland game we have had a bit of rest and also good training sessions. I feel completely ready for Norway and I trust this is the case with all our players. Norway are maybe a bit of a stronger team than Iceland but we have more confidence from the win in the first game and we are certainly ready to challenge Norway also.”

Preamble
Hello and welcome to coverage of the Euro 2025 clash between Norway and Finland. The second round of group stage fixtures kick off today, with the first quarter-finalists potentially confirmed by the end of play. Both teams go into this match having won their first group game, leaving them each on three points.
Norway came from behind to defeat tournament hosts Switzerland 2-1 in Basel thanks to an Ada Hegerberg strike and an own-goal from defender Julia Stierli. Meanwhile, Finland clinched a 1-0 win over Iceland in the opening match of the tournament courtesy of Katariina Kosola.
Victory today would see either team edge closer to the quarter-finals.
Kick-off for this one is at 5pm BST.
