With several dates already sold out and only limited tickets remaining for others, MKTO’s long-awaited Australian return has received another boost, with Central Coast pop artist HarryKirby announced as the support act for the Australian leg of the duo’s September tour.
The announcement places one of Australia’s fastest-rising young pop artists alongside the multi-platinum American duo as they return to cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Adelaide, Fremantle and Brisbane. It also marks another significant milestone for HarryKirby, whose emotionally candid songwriting and understated pop sensibility have quickly built a devoted following.
At just 18 years old, HarryKirby has already sold out headline shows across Australia following the release of his debut EP, Written On My Brain. His heartfelt lyricism and authentic vocal delivery have resonated strongly with younger audiences, establishing him as one of the country’s most promising emerging pop voices. The MKTO tour offers his biggest national support opportunity to date and introduces his music to thousands of fans across the country.
With more than 9 million monthly Spotify listeners and over 1.7 billion streams for ‘Classic’, Malcolm Kelley and Tony Oller continue to attract audiences well beyond the nostalgia surrounding their early success. Their 2026 tour also marks their first performances in several Australian cities in more than ten years.
For HarryKirby, the opportunity arrives at a pivotal moment in his career. Sharing stages with an internationally recognised act offers another chance to introduce his music to wider audiences while continuing the steady momentum he has built over the past year.
