McDonald’s is hopping on the energy trend with a “bold” new beverage.
On Tuesday, Aug. 11, the fast food chain announced the debut of its Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer, its very first energy drink. Coming on the heels of McDonald’s crafted sodas and refreshers, the new energizer promises to take “taste buds to new heights.”
“Combining Red Bull’s signature flavor with blue raspberry syrup and freeze-dried dragonfruit inclusions, Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer is a bold, fruit-forward sip that’s as vibrant as it is energizing,” the company wrote in a press release.
The caffeinated beverage comes with a reduced sugar option, as customers can substitute regular Red Bull for Red Bull Zero as the drink’s base. Also, for those just craving straight Red Bull, McDonald’s is offering the energy drink at participating locations in an 8.4 oz. can.

In addition to its first-ever energizer launch, McDonald’s is also expanding upon its soda options. Fans can now get a Vanilla Swirl (a flavor shot paired with a cold foam cap) with a Diet Coke, Coke Zero Sugar or Coca-Cola.
