Taylor Frankie Paul‘s ex-husband has asked a Utah court to unseal drug test results amid their ongoing custody dispute.

Tate Paul, who shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 6, with Taylor, filed the documents with the Salt Lake County District Court on Thursday, Aug. 13.

A July 2 ruling required the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 32, to take a 15-panel hair or nail test as well as a PEth test for alcohol, according to court documents viewed by PEOPLE.

However, the results were placed under a protective order, meaning they could only be viewed in Tate’s attorney’s office and could not be shared by Tate, who was married to Taylor from 2016 to 2022, or his legal team.

It was ruled that Taylor’s parenting time would be supervised until the tests came back. If they were negative, she would get unsupervised visits, but if they came back positive for unprescribed drugs or excessive levels of prescribed medication, her visits would remain supervised.

A ruling on July 7 shows that the court declined Taylor’s request for review. Therefore, her time with her children remained supervised.

Now, over a month later, Tate has asked for the drug test results to be unsealed, according to the court documents.

The request comes as the pair’s custody dispute continues. At the end of June, Tate, 34, asked the court to grant him a restraining order against Taylor and said he should have sole legal and physical custody of their children, alleging erratic behavior on her part.

Taylor denied the accusations, and the court initially denied the restraining order request, finding that she had not shown an “immediate and irreparable” risk to the children.

PEOPLE reached out to representatives for Tate Paul and Taylor Frankie Paul for comment but did not immediately hear back.

The reality star also shares son Ever, 2, with former partner Dakota Mortensen.

Utah’s Division of Child and Family Services filed a petition in July asking a juvenile court to determine whether Taylor’s three children were “abused, neglected or dependent,” order protective supervision and appoint a guardian ad litem to represent them.

Taylor and Mortensen, who have been embroiled in a separate custody dispute, ended their four-year on-and-off relationship in early 2026 after both made allegations of domestic violence against each other, prompting police investigations.

In 2023, Taylor was arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident with Mortensen. She was accused of throwing metal chairs at him while Indy, then 5, was in the room. She pleaded guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault, and the other charges were dropped. According to court documents, if Paul adhered to the terms of her plea agreement for three years, then the charge would be entered as a Class A misdemeanor.

Mortensen, 33, sought a protective order against Taylor in March, while she filed one of her own weeks later. In April, the orders were mutually granted for three years.

Mortensen remains Ever’s custodial parent, but Taylor was granted expanded parenting time in June, including alternating weekends and a weekly midweek visit without overnights.
