Influencer Veronica Perasso is opening up about her journey with plastic surgery.
In a pair of videos shared to Instagram, the social media star broke down the cosmetic procedures she’s had done, offering a warning to others going “too far down the rabbit hole” of plastic surgery.
Perasso said that after getting a BBL (Brazilian butt lift) in 2019, she was unhappy with her results and decided to get silicone injections. She recalls not caring that the procedure was alarmingly cheap and looks back on it as “the worst thing I had done.”
“In that moment, I didn’t care,” she said of the procedure’s risks. In 2017, the FDA warned of the “serious injuries and disfigurement” that can result from silicone injections, which are illegal for use by unlicensed providers.
“I didn’t have the money, and I was willing to risk my life for those reasons,” Perasso recalled.
She said that the procedure was done at a friend’s house. “A lady came, gave me a pill, put me to sleep basically, and injected me with silicone in the back,” Perasso shared. “Some people get so ill and so sick that they have to immediately remove it and they lose sensation of their legs or live in chronic pain.”
The influencer said she was “very, very grateful” she didn’t experience these side effects, but later “realized what I had done to my body.”
Reflecting on her plastic surgeries, which began with a breast augmentation in 2018, Perasso said the procedures caused her to experience “so much body dysmorphia.”
In the post’s caption, the influencer expanded on the “rabbit hole” of surgeries she went down.

“Now, after so many years, I can look back and understand things differently,” she wrote. “And I realize that sharing my experience with cosmetic surgery might help someone else before they go too far down the same rabbit hole I did.”
She continued, “If there’s any girl watching this who has been thinking about changing or modifying something about herself, please feel free to ask me anything. I’ll always be honest and transparent about my experiences—the good, the bad, what I regret, and what I would do differently.”
Perasso concluded the caption by saying, “I’m not sharing this to judge anyone’s choices. I’m sharing it because I wish I had heard more honest conversations like this when I was younger. 🤍”
