A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death of a woman who was found dead near a hiking trail in Virginia.
The Fairfax County Police Department said it responded to a report of an unconscious woman on the morning of Monday, Aug. 17.
Officers at the scene found Carmen Lizet Puch, 42, unresponsive. She had suffered an upper body wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Puch was discovered in the parking lot of Difficult Run Park in Great Falls, Va., near the hiking trail.
NBC 4 reported, citing sources, that Puch had been stabbed inside her vehicle. According to the outlet, she was the mother of a young daughter.

Puch’s body was initially discovered by a man out for a morning run, according to WUSA.
On Wednesday, Aug. 19, police said they arrested a suspect, 19-year-old Alexis Antonio Cedillos-Campos, in connection with the homicide.
It is not immediately clear if Cedillos-Campos has been charged with a crime.
