NEED TO KNOW
- Season 4 of Jeopardy! Masters kicks off its three-week run on Tuesday, Aug. 25
- Six top-ranked players will compete in the quarterfinals during the first week and the semifinals the next
- The final episode will air on Tuesday, Sept. 8
The fight to be the next champion of Jeopardy! Masters is about to begin.
Premiering on Tuesday, Aug. 25, the fourth season of the Jeopardy! spinoff series will pit six of the game show’s highest-ranked players against each other for the coveted title, the Trebek Trophy and, of course, the $500,000 prize. Host Ken Jennings revealed that because the competitors are so advanced, fans can expect the questions to be much harder than usual.
“There’s lots of cool and accessible stuff, but there’s also going to be a few clues where I’m like, ‘I can’t believe we expect somebody to know this,’ ” he told ABC 7. “Because we want to know, like, ‘How good can they get? How good are these people?’ And invariably, some of those hardest clues, somebody will get right.”
So, when can viewers tune in to this tough competition? Here’s everything to know about the Jeopardy! Masters release schedule, including when new episodes come out.

The first episode of Jeopardy! Masters will air on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 8 p.m. ET.
This season, reigning Jeopardy! Masters winner Yogesh Raut returns alongside 2025 finalists Juveria Zaheer and Victoria Groce. Joining them are 2026 Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions winner Paolo Pasco, Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament winner Andrew He and runner-up Long Nguyen. Jennings likened the competition to a “class reunion.”
“That’s a lot of fun for me,” he told ABC 7, joking: “I’m like the old professor who gets older and older at every reunion.”
How many episodes are in Jeopardy! Masters?
Season 4 of Jeopardy! Masters will span nine hour-long episodes, each featuring two half-hour games that follow the original show’s format: Jeopardy!, Double Jeopardy! and Final Jeopardy!. Eliminations will take place throughout the competition.
The top four contestants will move on to the semifinals after episode 6, while the top three will advance to the finals after episode 8. The season will culminate in episode 9, when the 2026 Jeopardy! Masters champion is crowned.
Back when the series was first announced in 2023, executive producer Michael Davies said that they “experimented with a few different formats” before deciding that “the true test of our Jeopardy Masters would be to repeatedly face each other.”
“ABC wanted 10 episodes, and they wanted 10 hours,” he explained during a January 2023 episode of the Inside Jeopardy! podcast. “And we figured out that over 10 hours, if we did two half-hour games back-to-back, which would give us 20 games, 20 games would be the perfect combination to have all six of our top players play each other in every combination.”
