Tyler Cameron didn’t need any time to think when he was offered a spot on Dancing with the Stars season 35.

The Bachelorette alum tells PEOPLE it was “the quickest yes ever” when he was asked to join the cast, which was revealed in full on Good Morning America on Sept. 2. “I mean, to get to be in this room, do this dance, do all these things, have an amazing partner like this. It’s an incredible journey that you’re going to look back on forever.”

Cameron, 33, is paired with returning pro Sharna Burgess, who is back for her first season in five years, and he couldn’t be more excited. “I get to share the great comeback of Sharna,” he says. “I’m so happy to be a part of your journey coming back.”

He says his fiancée Tate Madden— whom he announced his engagement to on Aug. 15 — is just as excited as he is. “She’s a dancer herself. So she’s pinching herself, seeing Sharna and Witney [Carson], and all these other amazing cast members,” Cameron says.

“This was her dream as a little kid, too. So to be here, she’s just eating this up,” he continues, adding that Madden, 33, will be in the ballroom “every week” cheering him on.

Burgess, 41, tells PEOPLE it’s “great” to be back in the swing of things and paired with Cameron. “We’ve had rehearsals for, what? About five or six practices right now, and we’ve wanted to share it so much,” she says.

Of her return, the one-time Mirrorball champion says she’s feeling mixed emotions. “It’s like, two things can be true. It feels like I never left, it’s like riding a bike. Being in the room is easy.”

“But there’s still a newness and excitement to everything, because it’s been so long since I’ve done it. And I love that. I love that it feels new and exciting, but it also feels like coming home.”
