Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen are spending a special night out together at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The actor, 44, and the producer, 45, stepped out at the star-studded festival — where two films they collaborated on are making their debut — on Saturday, Sept. 12. They attended the premiere of Babies and posed for photos together on the red carpet.

Lauren wore a black dress detailed with pockets and buttons down the front, and Seth sported an olive-colored suit.

The couple joined forces on Babies, which is making its world premiere at TIFF, with Lauren serving as director, writer and producer. The “big-hearted comedy is about the dilemma that eventually infiltrates every long-term relationship” — the decision whether to become parents, the festival’s official description of the movie reads.

Seth stars in Babies as Aaron, opposite Anna Kendrick, who plays Annie — and together, they’re 17 years into their relationship, still fielding the question, “Are you two going to have kids?” The two remain undecided on the topic when they get an opportunity for “some serious field study” to help inform their decision.

“Will witnessing the joys and sorrows of parenting up close tip the scales one way or another?” the description reads. “Will ambivalence reign until Annie and Aaron simply age out?”

In addition to Seth and Kendrick, the film’s cast includes Issa Rae, Dan Stevens, Kate Berlant, Zach Cherry, Ed Helms, Ashley Park, Sharon Stone and David Strathairn.

Seth and his wife also both serve as producers for Tangles, which follows a “young woman deal[ing] with her vibrant mother’s Alzheimer diagnosis,” per TIFF’s description of the film. The animated work has been adapted from Sarah Leavitt’s graphic memoir, Tangles: A Story about Alzheimer’s, My Mother and Me.

Seth also features in the film, which stars Abbi Jacobson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Beanie Feldstein, Samira Wiley, Bowen Yang, Sarah Silverman, Wanda Sykes and Pamela Adlon. Leah Nelson directs the movie, which is making its North American premiere at TIFF.

At Tangles’ Cannes premiere in May, Seth told PEOPLE that he “was crying a lot throughout the entire thing,” as it was the first time he saw the film on the big screen.

“I’m just glad the movie is effective and works. We’ve been working on it for like 10 years,” he said at the time. “To watch it with a big group of people is a very lovely feeling. And that it seems to have emotionally impacted them, it’s very nice.”

Tangles hits close to home for both Seth and his wife, as Lauren’s late mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease at age 55. The couple previously opened up about their experience coping with her diagnosis in their documentary Taking Care.
