Devon Lee Carlson showed off her engagement ring while posing for playful photos on the red carpet with her fiancé Duke Nicholson, the grandson of Jack Nicholson, on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Carlson, 32, and Duke, 27, walked the carpet together at the Los Angeles premiere of the actor’s latest project, The Deputy, at Landmark Theatres Sunset in Los Angeles. The couple kissed on the carpet while wearing baseball caps before the Wildflower Cases designer flashed her three-stone engagement ring to the camera. Duke’s hat had the film’s logo on it, while Carlson’s featured the Las Vegas Raiders logo.

Duke stars in the upcoming film as “a young sheriff’s deputy [who] finds himself in the crosshairs of dangerous criminals when the dead body he is assigned to keep an eye on disappears from a crime scene,” per an official logline. William H. Macy, Billie Lourd, Julia Fox, and Tiffany Haddish will also appear in the film.

“Toby is messy, flawed and completely in over his head, but he has a good heart, and that’s what drew me to him,” Duke recently told PEOPLE exclusively of his character in The Deputy.

Carlson announced her engagement to Duke in an Instagram post in June, just ahead of the couple’s fourth anniversary.

For their third anniversary, Carlson gushed on Instagram on July 25, 2025, “3 years with uuuuuuuuu 🤭🤭🤭🤭 I love u so much duke it’s cou cou.”

The couple tends to keep their relationship private, though Carlson occasionally shares glimpses of Duke on her social media pages. On the other hand, Duke is largely offline, with no public social media presence.

The low-profile actor has also had roles in Us and In the Hand of Dante. He appeared on the cover of Lana Del Rey’s album Norman F—ing Rockwell! and its accompanying music video in 2019.

The Deputy will be released in theaters, digital and on demand Sept. 25.
