Rangers passed up the chance to go top of the Premiership in a pulsating 2-2 draw against Dundee at Dens Park. The home side took a deserved lead in the 38th minutes through striker Bradley Fink but returning Gers attacker Badredine Bouanani fired in a stunning equaliser three minutes later with his first Rangers goal.
Derek McInnes’s side came out re-energised for the second half and took the lead on the hour with midfielder Nico Raskin’s long-range drive but in the 68th minute midfielder Callum Jones took advantage of Gers slackness to level. Dundee were well worth a point with Rangers moving one point behind leaders Celtic, who can increase their lead at home to Hearts on Sunday.
Greg Kiltie scored twice to lift Kilmarnock off the bottom with a 3-2 home victory over Motherwell. Kiltie struck first and last as Neil McCann’s side inflicted a fifth consecutive defeat on the Steelmen, who join Killie in the bottom three, one point above bottom-placed Hibernian.
Motherwell had a dominant spell after recovering from Kiltie’s second-minute opener and goals from Alex Lowry and Seb Palmer-Houlden turned the game on its head. But Tyreece John-Jules soon equalised and Motherwell were cut open before Kiltie knocked home a 69th-minute winner.
Motherwell’s manager, Alfred Johansson, bemoaned his side’s defending, saying: “I’m very, very disappointed and frustrated with how we end this game. It’s extremely difficult to accept the fact that we lost this game. We have chances to score more than two goals but we can’t rely on scoring three goals away from home. We need to be much more solid. It’s just way too low a level, how we defend.”
Falkirk secured an entertaining 2-1 win at Hibernian. Their only other league victory this term was at home to Hearts in September.
In a game that went from end to end, Jacob Murrell put Falkirk 2-0 ahead inside 37 minutes, before Hibs struck back with an Owen Elding goal. The home side dominated the second half, but could not bag an equaliser.
Aberdeen returned to winning ways as a 3-1 victory over St Mirren moved them above their opponents, who have now lost five straight matches. Brad Lyons gave the hosts the lead in spectacular fashion after two minutes, but the Buddies went on to dominate the first half and levelled through Eseosa Sule. In a much-improved second-half display strikes from Kevin Nisbet and Ayoub Mouloua gave the Dons three points. Aberdeen are seventh.
Lyall Cameron’s 79th-minute strike earned Dundee United a 1-1 draw at St Johnstone. United trailed at half-time to a Josh Fowler goal, the striker’s sixth of the Premiership campaign. The league’s top scorer did not make it out for the second half due to illness and Simo Valakari’s side were unable to repeat the trick of last Sunday in Aberdeen when they successfully defended a 1-0 lead.

Jim Goodwin had too many creative and attacking options to throw at their hosts and despite a decent defensive stand from the hosts, Cameron struck the second goal of his impressive loan spell from Rangers. The clubs are locked together on 12 points in the top half of the table after encouraging starts to the campaign, with the Saints in fifth on goal difference.
