According to the TPD, Miclescu was driving a 2017 White Ford Expedition with the Ontario license plate DJJS 875 the day she and her children went missing.

A TPD spokesperson said in a statement to PEOPLE on Saturday, Oct. 24, “I can confirm that this is still an active and ongoing investigation. There are officers assigned to this case currently, and investigators are following up on any leads and canvassing for any witnesses or video.”

“If this goes to an Amber Alert, which would be determined by the investigators, they will go through the proper channels via the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP),” the spokesperson continued.

Miclescu does not have legal custody of the children, per the news release from police. Further circumstances surrounding the case have not been shared publicly.

The TPD is urging anyone who has seen Miclescu or her three children to contact authorities.
