Sydney’s Tumbalong Park is gearing up for a big summer, with new open-air music series FORMA revealing its full program, including a special rave set from The Veronicas, free live music and an impressive line-up of Australian and international artists.
Running across two weekends from 26 November to 6 December, FORMA will see the Darling Harbour park host everyone from disco legends Kool & The Gang and Sister Sledge to Lime Cordiale, Peach PRC, SIX60, Hoodoo Gurus and Jordan Rakei.
One of the biggest drawcards is The Veronicas, who will debut their new Rave Set on Thursday 3 December. The Brisbane duo are giving their pop catalogue a club makeover, with fans even getting the chance to join them onstage as dancers. Anyone holding a ticket or purchasing one before 13 November goes into the draw.
The festival kicks off on Thursday 26 November with a free, all-ages opening party featuring Tay Tay Tribute and Fleetwood Mac tribute act Back To The Mac.
There’s plenty happening beyond the headline shows, too. A series of free lunchtime performances will feature Sydney collective Sultry & Sample alongside artists including Gia Vorne, Cracked Suzies and Suè & Nada Leigh, covering everything from neo-soul and jazz to dub and UK garage.
The park will also host a free-entry food precinct featuring Sydney favourites Mary’s Burgers, Olympic Meats, Antico, FIREPOP and TokyoTaco.
With Anjunadeep Open Air, Pacific Avenue and Don West also on the bill, FORMA is covering plenty of musical ground across its inaugural run.
The opening party, lunchtime music sessions and food precinct are free to attend, while tickets for the headline concerts are on sale now.
