The Clumps confront the pressure of chasing a passion on haunting new single ‘Easy’. The track offers the first glimpse of an EP expected in early 2027.

BRinging with a warm, atmospheric grunge sound palette, ‘Easy’ pairs crunching, reverb-soaked guitars with driving basslines and punchy drums to create a haunting, immersive soundscape. Topped with melancholic yet angsty vocal melodies that cut through the murky yet intricately crafted instrumental arrangement, the track beautifully balances raw intensity with a melodic pull.

Thematically, the track explores the psychological weight of pursuing something you care about, challenging the notion that following your passion should come naturally. Instead, it captures the exhaustion, uncertainty and pressure that can accompany ambition, its abrasive textures and mounting tension mirroring the emotional toll of chasing something that matters.

“Nothing left, Hold your breath, While they tell you everything, They never said it was easy”

The single arrives as The Clumps continue to build momentum, following a run of releases that has seen previous single ‘Worthless’ accumulate 3.3 million streams and the band grow to 100,000 monthly listeners. Recent performances at Eurosonic and Soho Calling in London have further raised their profile, while earlier singles have earned national radio support from NRK P3 and P13.

Their live credentials also include appearances at Bergenfest and Tons of Rock, placing the band among a new wave of alternative acts developing an increasingly international audience. Behind the scenes, The Clumps are working with Made Management, whose roster includes Aurora and Sigrid, alongside ACT Booking / Live Nation, as they look to expand their European presence throughout 2027.

As the first preview of their forthcoming EP, the single signals the beginning of the next chapter for The Clumps, with further new music expected ahead of the project’s arrival in early 2027.
