Miss Supranational has crowned its new winner!

On Thursday, July 31, the organization hosted the 17th edition of an international pageant at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland, where 67 contestants competed for the title. This year, the pageant’s theme was the “Festival of Beauty.”

Katrina Llegado, who was Miss Supranational Philippines 2026, took home the title, with last year’s winner, Eduarda Braum, 23, bestowing the crown on her successor.

After making the top five, alongside contestants from Brazil, the Czech Republic, France and Nigeria, the pageant hosts asked Llegado (a military reservist in the Philippine Air Force) to tell them “about the moment you stop trying to become the woman the world expected and started becoming the woman you’re meant to be,” as part of the interview round.

“I always believe that we should never fit into a mold. We are perfectly imperfect,” she said. “I am someone who struggles with perfection. I am here today doing my best and becoming my best version.”

In an Instagram post, the pageant organization also thanked Braum for her service as the 2025 titleholder over the last year: “You made people believe in what it stood for. The hardest part isn’t the goodbye. It’s knowing how much you gave 💜.”

This year’s pageant debuted its new Fioletowa Crown, notably featuring purple gemstones. Jeweler and crown maker George Wittels from Venezuela designed the headpiece.

In an Instagram post showing off the new headpiece, the organization wrote of the color choices. “Purple was never just a colour to us. It’s ambition, it’s royalty, it’s the shade a woman wears when she has nothing left to prove 💜.”

Previously, the Supranational Crown was bestowed on queens (between 2022 and 2023). Designed by Mexican jeweler Ricardo Patraca, the crown was unveiled during the 13th Miss Supranational competition and was inspired by the pageant’s slogan: Inspirational – Aspirational.

In the days leading up to the final competition, contestants competed in the pageant’s preliminary rounds, including the National Costumes Extravaganza where the women showed off costumes related directly to their country of origin. During the final pageant event on July 31, the women competed in evening wear and swimsuit rounds.

Women competing in the Miss Supranational pageant must be between the ages of 18 and 32, and the competition is open to single women, mothers and divorced candidates, though all contestants must be currently unmarried.

Last year, Braum took home the title while representing Brazil. According to her contestant profile on the Miss Supranational website, Braum was raised in Afonso Cláudio, a small town surrounded by mountains in the interior of Brazil.

After earning her degree in literature and pedagogy, Braum started the Leaders of Tomorrow project where she gives motivational talks in public schools. She also worked as a model, influencer and TV presenter.
