Swedish artist Boy In Space has shared ‘Timepiece’, the latest preview of his long-awaited debut album, The Man Who Lost It All, due for release on 23 October. Following the upbeat energy of previous single ‘Switcheroo’, the new track reveals a more restrained and introspective side of Robin Lundbäck’s songwriting.

Built around understated instrumentation and an unhurried rhythm, ‘Timepiece’ reflects on regret, reconciliation and the fragile process of rebuilding trust. Using a watch as its central metaphor, the song considers the weight of timing in relationships and the uncertainty of whether damaged connections can truly be repaired.

“I wanted to find a different way to explain the feeling of being an inconvenience,” Lundbäck explains. “Seeing it in someone’s expression, the way they glance at their watch like their time belongs somewhere else.”

That sense of openness extends across The Man Who Lost It All. Recorded live with a full band over just a few days, the album is designed to feel immediate and intimate, placing Lundbäck’s songwriting at the forefront. Rather than chasing polished perfection, the recordings favour warmth and spontaneity, creating the impression of stepping into the room alongside the musicians.

Since emerging with breakthrough singles ‘Cold’ and ‘7UP’, Boy In Space has accumulated more than half a billion streams while steadily refining his sound. Releases including the Copium EP and last year’s The Butterfly Affect hinted at a move towards more organic arrangements, a direction that now appears to reach its fullest expression on his debut album.
