The next book in the Reform series is on the way!

The bestselling saga from author Ariel Sullivan is getting a new installment with Core, which sees the return of beloved heroine Emeline as she navigates secrets, romance and a brewing revolt in her homeland. Set to debut in 2027, Core follows the immense success of Conform, the series’ first book, and the recently-released prequel novel, Beneath.

Fans of the series first met Emeline, a young woman living in a dystopian society, who is thrust into the luxurious world of Courting after Collin, a man from her city’s governing faction, the Illum, chooses her to be his Mate. But access to that lavish landscape also sheds light on “its dark underbelly” and the rebellion igniting in response — and Hal, the particularly alluring man at the head of the revolt.

Now, Core begins as Emeline “wakes in the clouds to a terrible reality” — the rebellion has fallen, Hal along with it, and now she’s bound to a procreation contract with Collin. “But in the clouds, you can only trust what you see, not what they say — and the fight is far from over,” Core‘s synopsis reads.

“Determined to set things right, Emeline begins to gather allies new and old, leading her to shocking discoveries about the true nature of the rebellion,” the synopsis continues. “Everyone above and beneath is carrying secrets, and the efforts to bring down the Illum run deeper than Emeline could have imagined. Sullivan tells PEOPLE she can’t wait for readers to dive into this forthcoming, pivotal novel in the Reform world.

Sullivan’s latest novel in the series, Beneath — recently released in March — sheds light on the nuclear war that altered the city forever, and the “explosive” love story between two intrepid young people looking to rebuild their world.
