The royal flaunted a stylish hand-me-down during their summer holiday in Mallorca

The women of the Spanish royal family are checking out each other’s closets.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, Princess Sofia stepped out with her family in a familiar-looking sundress. The 19-year-old princess was photographed leaving a family dinner at the Mia restaurant in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, alongside her parents, King Felipe, 58, and Queen Letizia, 53; her older sister, Princess Leonor, 20; and her grandmother, Queen Sofia, 87.

For the summer night out, Sofia wore an off-the-shoulder blue and white print gown with an abstract cobalt design, belted waist and flowing top layer. She paired the look with white espadrilles.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the dress was a creative collaboration between Barcelona’s Desigual and designer Stella Jean.

However, it’s not the first time royal watchers have seen the dress. Both Queen Letizia and Princess Leonor have worn the same dress during the family’s previous Mallorca summer holidays in recent years.

The Queen was the first to be spotted in the dress, back in 2023. She, King Felipe and Queen Sofia were photographed walking to the Marivent Palace, the royal family’s summer residence, on Aug. 3, 2023, to host their annual dinner for local authorities.

Then, just last year, Crown Princess Leonor wore the dress for the same event on Aug. 4, 2025. This time, the Queen opted for all white, while Leonor’s younger sister went with a hot pink look.

Last year also marked a milestone as the first time the princesses accompanied their parents to the annual dinner.

The Spanish royals had another vacation moment go viral last week.

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the family once again posed for photos outside the Marivent Palace. However, as they approached the photo call, Queen Sofia appeared to miss her mark.

Although the royal walked up in between Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia, she traditionally does not stand between them for photos. However, as shown in a video captured by Hello! magazine, Queen Sofia had to be reminded to switch spots with her granddaughter so that the nuclear family would all be standing together, with Princess Sofia gently nudging her grandmother to take her place at the end and pointing to a spot on the ground.

After a moment, Queen Sofia moved to the far side, and the family posed for their colorful vacation portraits.
