These superstar parents are feeling all the feels as they send their kids off to school for another year

Summer has come to an end for these celebrity kids, who are back to the books as school days return.

Stars such as Diane Kruger, Mario Lopez and Brittany Aldean are sending their young ones off to elementary and middle school. Others, like Melissa Joan Hart, Trista Sutter and Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano are feeling extra emotional as their kids enter their senior years of high school; still more, including Sheryl Crow and Giada De Laurentiis, have college-bound teens leaving the nest for the first time.

Sheryl Crow was feeling extra emotional after dropping her son Wyatt off at college. “I can’t believe I just took this baby to college. 🥹🥹 Where does the time go?” she wrote next to a recent photo of her teen, which she shared in a carousel that also contained a photo of him as a toddler.

“For any parent who just went through this, I know how you are feeling! So proud of the young man he has become, and sure am missing him around here!”

Giada De Laurentiis had a bittersweet going away bash for her daughter, Jade, as she also prepared to go to college.

“Celebrating our girl yesterday before we send her off… we are sooo proud of you @jademarie_dlt – it’s time to go to college! 😭❤️” the chef wrote.

Dominique Dawes

Getting your kids to stand still for a good photo can be an Olympic sport in and of itself; just ask Dominique Dawes (mom to Kateri, Quinn, Lincoln and Dakota). The three-time Olympic gold medalist celebrated accomplishing the feat, though there was a small caveat.

“I’m proud to say they’re holding the ‘First Day of School’ signs that make it look like I have this whole parenting thing figured out. 😆 However, if you look closely, the signs are completely blank. Don’t judge, this is the best effort we could give. 🤣” she shared.

“Every year, I’m convinced I’m going to be more organized… and every year, I’m just happy we all made it to school on time. Usually with a lunch bag, water bottle or school assignment that was left at home.”
