Well Petrovic kept Everton at bay with some sensational saves with Scott doing his part by putting the hosts ahead. Everton have not been poor in this game, they just need to be clinical in front of goal. A lively second half to come.

Coventry had a lot of dominance in this first half but they just haven’t been able to take advantage, some boos as the half-time whistle goes.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 45 min: Thomas and Belloumi comes together with the Hull City man at fault there. Two minutes added.
Scott will get the plaudits for the finish but it is Evanilson who did all of the hard work in the build up. He chases a ball and picks out Scott who scores from close range.

It’s a brilliant finish from Alex Scott and Pickford’s wait for 100 clean sheets goes on.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 41 min: This ground is going to erupt if Coventry can get ahead. The atmosphere has lulled somewhat.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 39 min: Awoniyi doesn’t get much warning for a ball into the box and it hits his thigh but there’s a great save by Tzolakis. He puts it behind for a corner but it’s dealt with by Hull.
Bournemouth 0-0 Everton, 37 min: Nothing really to report from Bournemouth in terms of goals but both sides are peppering the goalkeepers with chances. Just no breakthrough yet.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 35 min: Wait, my mistake. I got ahead of myself. Drameh was ready to come on but Coyle has managed to recover so he remains in the game.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 34 min: Coyle is receiving treatment now and it does look like he is going to come off. Drameh is coming on for him.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 33 min: A fun fact for you, this is the first time these two clubs have played one another in the Premier League. Of course they have played each other before but never in the top-flight.
On pitch Coyle has remained down after an awkward stretch.
Bournemouth 0-0 Everton, 31 min: The deadlock remains at the Vitality with George the latest to pop a chance in but it’s from long range and it goes wide.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 29 min: There is an applause from the crowd in memory of Coventry fan Harry Chattaway who died suddenly at the age of 27.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 27 min: McBurnie wins a corner for Hull and it’s delivered well but no one can target it goalward, however they get another corner. It comes in again but it’s headed clear.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 25 min: Hull want a penalty but the referee is having absolutely none of it with Stroud making the most of a shove from Thomas, much to the jeers of the Coventry fans.

Bournemouth 0-0 Everton, 23 min: Okay, this is definitely a match for those who love the work of a goalkeeper. Bournemouth’s Petrovic has made another absolutely cracking save. He initially spills George’s effort but manages to get to his feet to repel Barry’s effort from the rebound. Wow.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 20 min: Coventry continue to dominate possession but their execution is just not clinical in the final third at the moment.
Bournemouth 0-0 Everton, 18 min: Both goalkeepers are making some great saves with the game starting to liven up. Rayan is the latest to take a punt but Pickford is there at the near post.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 16 min: It is proving really difficult for Hull City to make any impact at the moment, Stroud did have a chance but it was over the bar.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 14 min: It has been all Coventry so far with Hull not getting a foothold at all so far. The conditions are wet but the hosts seem unphased.
Bournemouth 0-0 Everton, 12 min: Everton have come closest to breaking the deadlock with Branthwaite heading a corner goalward but Petrovic makes a cracking save to keep him out.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 11 min: Grimes will take the set piece and he pops it in but Coyle heads clear. The secondary play is also snuffed out.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 10 min: The referee’s mic pack needed readjusting so there was a bit of a break in play. They are now back underway and Coventry get a free kick on the edge of the box. Coyle gets a yellow card for a shirt pull on Mason-Clark.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 8 min: The atmosphere is not dying down, the crowd are in full voice. Awoniyi has been really positive early on and he gets another chance but he is offside.
Bournemouth 0-0 Everton, 6 min: Thierno Barry took a knock and has been receiving treatment for several minutes. He is okay to continue.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 5 min: Awoniyi has a chance but it is deflected out for a corner. It’s taken by Grimes but Thomas and McBurnie miss it and it’s cleared.
Bournemouth 0-0 Everton, 4 min: The England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will look to becoming only the fifth English goalkeeper to keep 100 clean sheets in the Premier League today.
David James, David Seaman, Nigel Martyn and Joe Hart are the other English keepers to do so.
Coventry 0-0 Hull City, 3 min: It may be Hull who are the more confident today despite being away from home. They beat Manchester United last weekend, while Coventry lost to Arsenal.

Elversberg have had a great start to their opening Bundesliga game and their story is a good one as the smallest town to ever be promoted into the German top-flight. Carlo Cudicini was a very good goalkeeper. However, José Mourinho was ruthless when he became Chelsea manager in 2004. Very good was not good enough. Mourinho wanted the best and one of the main factors behind the Portuguese winning the Premier League during his first season in charge was the decision to replace Cudicini with Petr Cech.
There is an old line about a great goalkeeper being worth 15 points a season. It is not for nothing, for instance, that Brian Clough regarded Peter Shilton as one of his most important signings at Nottingham Forest. Shilton was key when Forest defied the odds by winning the Division One title in 1978 and there are plenty of other examples of promising teams taking the next step only after buying a top No 1.

Two early goals for the newbies with Lukas Petkov and Cole Campbell hitting the back of the net. What a story.

The new loan signing has scored for the hosts. Ivory Coast international Emmanuel Latte Lath nets early on, he signed a temporary move from 2 August from Atalanta United.

Coventry, meanwhile, make three changes from their opening Premier League game against Arsenal. Ephron Mason-Clark, Jack Rudoni and Taiwo Awoniyi come in for Brandon Thomas-Asante, Frank Onyeka and Ellis Simms.
Everton make one change to their starting XI with Harry Hackney benched for James Garner. Both Harrison Armstrong and Iliman Ndiaye start despite being linked to moves to other clubs in the coming days.

Nottingham Forest currently lead Liverpool at Anfield 1-0, thanks to a lovely finish into the bottom right corner by Dan Ndoye. Hello and welcome to today’s clockwatch where we will have a keen focus on the two Premier League 3pm BST kick-offs. Those are Bournemouth v Everton and Coventry v Hull.
But they are not the only games that we will be bringing you updates on. There are also five 2.30pm BST Bundesliga matches which we will also keep across and bring you the main headlines from.
Of course, per the 3pm blackout rules neither Premier League game will be shown on UK TV but fear not we will bring you every goal, red card or any other important update.
There is one game that is already underway between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. We will bring you the latest from that, as well as the team news for the 3pm kick-offs as soon we have it. Let’s go.
