I live in San Diego, so Disneyland is close enough for me to visit often (which I do). Over the years, I’ve learned what’s worth packing and what I won’t actually use at the park. So I thought I’d share the items I never leave home without to help you get ready for your first or next trip.

Bagsmart Mini Crossbody Bag

I always bring this crossbody bag to Disney parks (it even made it to Tokyo Disneyland this spring), because it fits all my essentials with room to spare. The two main compartments keep my phone, sunscreen, and other small things organized and within quick reach.

The built-in card slots also mean I can leave my wallet at home. My favorite detail is the puffy, adjustable strap, which feels comfortable on my shoulder even after hours of walking. Plus, it leaves my hands free to grab a churro or snap a photo in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

HydraPak Flux Collapsible Water Bottle

I make sure my husband brings this 50-ounce water bottle in his backpack at the park, so we always have water between rides. The filter is built into the cap, and the nozzle opens with one hand when we need a quick sip. But what I really like is that we don’t have to make room for a bulky empty bottle all day. Once we’ve finished the water, he can roll it up and tuck it back into his bag until the next refill.

From the first ride of the morning to the fireworks before closing, I can put at least 20,000 steps on these sneakers without aching, sweaty feet. The memory foam footbed and padded ankles cushion my steps, while the moisture-wicking lining and airflow channels keep my feet cool. 

Even after hours of walking, I don’t get that “I need to take these off” feeling. The natural rubber soles give me good traction as I make my way between Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. And since I’m barely 5 feet tall, I appreciate the little height boost.
