Meghan Markle is back in fall mode, and our closets are all the better for it. 

On October 7, the Duchess of Sussex was spotted in London in four apt-for-autumn basics that we can’t help but covet. For the casual outing, she dressed up in a sleek crewneck sweater and matching wide-leg trousers that created a luxe monochromatic base. 

She then added a camel coat (eagle-eyed fans think it may be this one from Tove) to tie in the tan color of her preppy loafers. Finally, she accessorized with $24,000 worth of Logan Hollowell jewelry, including a diamond and emerald necklace and a chunky gold ring. 

The good news? Recreating Meghan’s look doesn’t have to cost even a fraction of that with the staples down below.

At face value, Meghan’s sweater doesn’t really look like anything special — but that’s kind of the point. Because it’s so understated, clean-looking, and classic, it’s simple to style and easy to throw on with trousers, jeans, or really, any type of bottoms. 

Meghan’s knit looks like it could be this nearly-$600 cashmere option, but you can add this now-$22 find from Banana Republic Factory to your own collection. It has a sleek cut and is made from 60 percent cotton, two factors that make it a good option for layering. It’s also machine-washable, so should it start to stink or attract stains (as all white clothing does!), you don’t have to bathe it by hand in the sink.

Not only do they feel like “wearing silky pajamas,” but they also look “classic” and “elegant,” according to one Amazon shopper. They added that the elastic back, which makes them comfier than traditional office slacks, “doesn’t look cheap or frumpy.”
