Kate Middleton has shared a new family photo in honor of Mountain Rescue Awareness Day.
On Sunday, Oct. 25, the Princess of Wales, 44, posted a snapshot on Instagram of herself with her husband, Prince William, and their three children — Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8 — after she completed the National Three Peaks Challenge earlier this year.

“On Mountain Rescue Awareness Day, we send our heartfelt thanks to all those who volunteer their time and expertise to keep people safe in some of our most beautiful but challenging landscapes,” Kate wrote in the post’s caption.
“Through our connection with this remarkable organization, we have seen first-hand the dedication, professionalism and compassion that define their work,” she added.
“Meeting local mountain rescue teams during the Three Peaks Challenge this summer was an opportunity to say thank you in person for the vital role they play in keeping walkers and climbers safe on the mountains all year round,” continued Kate.
The mom of three then wrote that she is “incredibly proud to support the extraordinary volunteers” and the mountain rescue community “for your unwavering commitment, courage and service.”
She signed the message from herself and Prince William.

The Princess of Wales completed the Three Peaks Challenge to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in late June. Kate’s involvement came after she announced her remission from cancer in January 2025.
Over the course of the 24-hour challenge, Kate climbed the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales: Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon.
Mountain Rescue Awareness Day is held during the last week of October — when the clocks go back in the U.K. — reminding people to stay safe in the mountains as it gets darker earlier, according to Mountain Rescue England and Wales. (Prince William became patron of the organization in 2007.)
