The former costars reunited on the set of Rodriguez’s upcoming boxing movie, ‘House of Guerrero’

The Jane the Virgin family is back together.

Justin Baldoni recently reunited with his former costars Gina Rodriguez and Jaime Camil on the set of Rodriguez’s upcoming movie, House of Guerrero, sharing a glimpse of the mini reunion in a social media post on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Baldoni posted a carousel of photos on Instagram that included several shots with Rodriguez, who is directing the film. The post also featured a photo of Baldoni with his wife, Emily Baldoni, and their two children, Maiya, 11, and Maxwell, 8, at a live taping of Dancing with the Stars.

Other photos showed Baldoni with celebrities, including Julianne Hough, Marinda Davis, Travis Van Winkle, Eugene Kim, Becky G and Carlos Sanson Jr.

“Dancing through Maxwell’s 9th birthday,” Baldoni captioned the post.

The reunion comes as Rodriguez and Baldoni team up again professionally on House of Guerrero. The film marks Rodriguez’s theatrical directorial debut after directing episodes of Jane the Virgin, Charmed, Diary of a Future President, Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. and Good Sam. Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios has signed on to produce the boxing film.

Baldoni previously shared a video from the set on Sept. 14, showing him walking up to Rodriguez and greeting her with a long hug.

“Hey Director @hereisgina Day 1 🥊 God is good,” he wrote alongside the video.

Rodriguez is also set to produce and star in the film, alongside professional boxer Ryan Garcia. The project is a “boxing film for a new generation” that “brings a fresh perspective to the genre while centering a community that has long shaped the sport,” according to Wayfarer.

“Directing this film feels like the beginning of a new chapter in a story I’ve been carrying with me my entire life,” Rodriguez told Deadline in September.

The actress also shared her excitement about bringing Latino stories to the screen through the project.

“I’ve been boxing since I could walk, and I’m on a mission to show the world what fighting can teach you about life, if you let it,” she said.

“I’ve dreamed about this film for so long, and I truly cannot wait to step into the ring and bring it to life,” she added.

Rodriguez, 42, Baldoni, 42, and Camil, 53, first worked together on Jane the Virgin, which premiered in 2014 and ran for five seasons. Rodriguez starred as Jane Villanueva, Baldoni played Rafael Solano, the biological father of Jane’s son, and Camil portrayed Rogelio de la Vega, Jane’s father.

While the cast’s reunion brought the former costars back together on set, Rodriguez and Baldoni have remained close in the years since the series ended. In 2024, Rodriguez spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about their friendship ahead of the show’s 10-year anniversary.

“Justin is a sweet, sweet soul. Man, he’s a sweetie pie,” she said. “That guy is — that’s my brother forever. Forever and ever.”

Rodriguez also said Baldoni was the cast member she had stayed “in touch with the most.”

Baldoni later told PEOPLE that hearing Rodriguez speak about him meant a great deal to him.

“She really showed up for me. That was really sweet,” he added, later saying, “She’s family forever.”

A release date for House of Guerrero has not yet been announced.
