Paige DeSorbo is dishing on dating.
The Giggly Squad co-host, 33, is partnering with Maison Perrier to host an Amazon Live takeover on the topic of modern romance, in honor of its new French Kiss sparkling water.
“I like to believe that I am French,” the Summer House alum tells PEOPLE of the collaboration with the beverage brand, noting that raspberry & lime is her favorite French Kiss variety. “They’re the chicest, they have great food. Paris Fashion Week is always my favorite.”
For anyone currently navigating the dating scene, DeSorbo suggests “trusting your gut.”

“When you feel like something’s maybe a little off, but you want to be nice and you want to see how it goes, I think trust your gut, for sure,” she says.
The Daphne founder says the best relationship advice she’s gotten was from her friend and podcast co-host, Hannah Berner, who’s been married to fellow comedian Des Bishop since 2022.
“One time I asked her, like, ‘When good things happen or when scary things happen, who are you calling?’ And I remember the first time she ever said, ‘Des,’ like that she was calling her husband. And I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ The thought of not calling my mom or my dad was so scary to me,” DeSorbo recalls.
“She was like, ‘Once you meet someone and that’s who you want to call when something good or bad happens, that’s a really good sign.’ And so I felt like that was really good advice,” DeSorbo adds. “I had so many boyfriends where I didn’t even call them ever. So I needed that.”

DeSorbo says when it comes to assessing relationships, a key red flag is “someone who’s just not supportive of you.”
“You want to feel like you’re a partner, you’re really in it together,” she explains. “So I think anyone that wants you to maybe change what your focus is or change your career or something like that, not great.”
An underrated green flag, she says, is someone who “doesn’t take themselves too seriously.”
“I can be a very anxious person and I can think like, ‘Oh my God, the world is ending if I can’t find this pair of pants that I know are in my closet,’” she shares. “So I feel like being with someone that doesn’t take things so seriously sometimes and can laugh and have a good time, but then of course knows when to be serious because that’s also very important.”

DeSorbo’s advice to her younger self would be to “calm down.”
“I think in your 20s you’re so like, ‘Oh my God, is this my husband?’ And then 10 years later you’re like, ‘No, obviously that wasn’t my husband,’” she says. “You don’t have to have everything all together in your 20s.”
These days, DeSorbo says her perfect date night includes an early meal.
“I like to be in bed by 10:30, 11:00,” she says. “So I love an early dinner, maybe a drink before, and then wearing a great outfit, obviously. And then going home. Maybe having a drink after dinner too, but I like to be in bed by 11. I like to have my red light mask on and watch my shows.”
