Michaella Giorgio and Rob Feeley’s Love Is Blind journey has come to an end.

The season 11 couple called off their engagement after a series of heated confrontations, culminating in an explosive argument at a cast gathering in Boston.

During the Wednesday, Oct. 28, episode of the Netflix dating series, Michaella, 35, reached her breaking point as Rob, 40, grew increasingly frustrated with the experiment and questioned how he would be portrayed on TV.

“I cannot marry this man,” Michaella said. “And under any circumstances, I cannot marry him at this point.”

Tensions between the pair had already been building after a night out with Rob’s friends, during which he became upset with production and demanded that filming stop.

Michaella later revealed that Rob had also questioned her intentions for participating in the experiment, suggesting she stood to benefit professionally from appearing on the show. “For my fiancé to question, like, my intentions of being here, insulting. So insulting,” she said.

The situation escalated when the couples reunited for a group gathering, where Rob repeatedly expressed concerns about being portrayed negatively.

As he grew increasingly agitated, Michaella struggled to understand why his frustration seemed to be directed at her. “I feel like every time you lash at me, and I haven’t done s— other than show up for you,” she told him.

Rob, meanwhile, revisited an earlier disagreement in which Michaella had described an incident involving her earrings as aggressive. Though Michaella maintained that she had apologized and did not believe he was an aggressive person, Rob insisted he would continue bringing up the accusation.

Their confrontation eventually turned to the future of their relationship. “Listen, like I said before, I’m gonna love you forever,” Michaella told Rob. “But, obviously, not gonna work out.”

In a later conversation with a friend, Michaella revealed that the argument continued after the cameras stopped rolling. According to Michaella, Rob initially insisted they leave the gathering together, only to collect his belongings from their shared apartment and return to Rhode Island.

“He was too angry,” she recalled. “So he grabbed his stuff, and he went home, and left me there by myself.”

Michaella said she was particularly hurt because she had repeatedly tried to support Rob throughout the experience. “He just didn’t want to talk,” she explained, adding that she wished he had been more considerate of her feelings.

“This experiment is not even remotely compared to the stress of marriage, or kids, or a sick parent,” she said.

Though Rob eventually reached out to apologize, Michaella said the damage had already been done. “He ended up calling me Saturday, saying all the right things, apologized, took accountability for his actions,” she recalled.

“He told me that he loves me, and every single thing he said, he did was real, and it was a real engagement for him, and he really did imagine a future with us,” she said.

Rob reflected on the emotional toll of the experiment and the personal hardships he had experienced before filming. He revealed that his father had died months earlier and that he had also lost two close friends and his job over the previous year and a half. “There’s been a lot of pain in my life in the last year and a half,” he admitted.

Rob said he had struggled to process those experiences while navigating the pressures of the show. “I was overwhelmed, 1000%,” he said, acknowledging that he felt he had let Michaella and her family down.

Despite their painful ending, Michaella maintained that the love she felt for Rob was real. “We really did love each other and have an unreal connection that I, personally, never felt with anybody else,” she said.

“I haven’t said I love you to anybody in 10 years. And I said it to him, and I meant it,” she continued. “Getting engaged to him was the happiest day of my life.”

“Rob and I are no longer engaged,” she confirmed. “Despite the fact that I fell in love with this man, and there is so much to love about him, I put myself and my future and what I know is right first.”

While she acknowledged that Rob had qualities she admired, Michaella said she believed he needed to work on himself before pursuing another serious relationship.

“Deep down, Rob is a good guy,” she said. “I think that he has some work to do on himself, and I don’t think he’s ready to be in a relationship with a woman like me.”

Looking ahead, Michaella said the experience only strengthened her belief that she was ready to find her husband. “I know he’s out there,” she said. “I don’t know where he is or what he’s doing, but he’s waiting for me and I don’t regret a single second.”

Her final takeaway was simple: “I deserve better.”

In an interview with PEOPLE after the season 11 premiere earlier this month, Michaella reflected on what initially drew her to Rob, citing his close relationship with his mother, his loyalty to his friends and their shared sense of humor.

“I think really what hit it home for me was how Rob describes how he takes care of people in his life,” she said at the time. “How he shows up for his friends, and his sense of humor. We just had really great chemistry. So I was very sure that he was the one.”
