Leon Bridges is heading back to Australia in 2027, bringing ‘The Happiness Anytime Tour’ to some particularly spectacular outdoor settings across February and March.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter kicks things off on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on February 26 before heading to Brisbane, Fremantle, WOMADelaide and Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens. It marks Bridges’ seventh Australian visit, following a steady climb here from intimate theatres to sold-out Opera House Concert Halls and major outdoor stages.

This time he arrives with fifth album ‘Happiness Anytime’, out September 25. Produced by Jungle’s J Lloyd-Watson and Lydia Kitto, the 12-track record reconnects some of the warmth of 2015 debut ‘Coming Home’ with the more adventurous territory Bridges explored alongside Khruangbin. Movement and groove sit at the centre, with new single ‘Talk It Over’ leaning firmly into the album’s brighter side.

That shift carries into the live show. Bridges has reworked his stage production around a DJ, horn section and three backing vocalists, taking some inspiration from the communal energy of Jamaican dancehall culture. After recent appearances from Paris and London to Montreux Jazz Festival and Outside Lands, the new production now heads Down Under.

54 Ultra joins Bridges in Sydney, Brisbane, Fremantle and Melbourne, while Melbourne also gets Australian instrumental funk favourites Surprise Chef. Frontier’s presale begins September 23, with general tickets on sale September 24.
